Letters to the Editor Sept. 12, 2008

Edgewater needs real leadership

To the editor:

The ICBE withdrawal, while no surprise to the people of Edgewater, makes the people’s choice unequivocally clear. Edgewater needs an authentic bipartisan government. It needs REAL leadership with the courage, conviction, professionalism and integrity to govern and serve its residents and taxpayers with the dignity and respect which they deserve. Edgewater needs a change in government, and my team and I represent the only alternative for real change in Edgewater government.

As a Republican Council member in Edgewater, I intend to restore good government to the people, and for the people of Edgewater. With a lifetime of serving the public in the private sector, I will bring my years of professional experience and leadership success to the Borough Hall of Edgewater where I will work closely with all members of the Edgewater government, in light of our partisan differences, to identify and put in place creative alternate solutions for a better Edgewater.

I urge the people of Edgewater, regardless of your party affiliation or your views on national, state and county politics, to strongly consider the critical needs of Edgewater. Edgewater needs a change, and I am that change! I trust in the people of Edgewater to vote on Nov. 4 for me and my team, column 2, Your Voice, Your Values, Your Choice.

Ayelet Ann Weiss
Municipal Chairman

Edgewater GOP candidate endorses Weiss

To the Editor:

It’s a privilege to be your Republican nominee of New Jersey’s Ninth Congressional District in this year’s election. I am running to represent the residents of Bergen, Hudson and Passaic counties in Washington, D.C. My priorities are strengthening America’s security, promoting energy independence and economic growth, helping solve our nation’s mortgage problems and providing tax relief for everyone.

In Edgewater, N.J., Ayelet Ann Weiss is a likeminded, fresh, young advocate for taxpayers running for a seat on the council. Ayelet Ann Weiss’ integrity and independence will protect Edgewater’s taxpayers from waste, fraud and abuse, while making sure the quality of life of Edgewater’s residents stays up to par. I know from talking to Ms. Weiss that she believes Edgewater must remain a beautiful town to visit and live in for all of its residents — young and old.

I encourage Edgewater’s residents to elect Ayelet Ann Weiss to the council this November. I ask that you vote for me for Congress as well. Together we will bring change. Thank you.

Vince Micco
Candidate for Congress
