To the editor:

The presidential and upcoming vice presidential debates have left me wishing for a council candidate debate in Edgewater.

For almost a decade, the local democrats and republicans have offered excuses, albeit contrived, to avoid a moderated debate. This year, they have no excuse. It is time for the candidates to come before the public.
