Town-wide clean up scheduled for May
The Mayor and Council are sponsoring a general town-wide clean up May 17 and May 18 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This is an opportunity for residents to get their homes and property cleaned for the spring and summer seasons.
Suggested items to be put out at the curb include: tree branches (cut and bundled), leaves, broken furniture, unwanted household items, computer equipment, etc.
The following items will not be accepted: Batteries, paint cans, household hazardous waste, and propane tanks.
The Borough of Edgewater picks up computers and other electronic items on Fridays by appointment only.
The Bergen County Utilities Authority will conduct a household hazardous waste collection at Bergen Community College, 400 Paramus Road, June 29 and Oct. 19, at Campgaw Mountain Reservation, 200 Campgaw Road May 17, Sept. 13, and Nov. 15, and at the Bergen County Utilities Authority, at the foot of Empire Boulelvard, July 19.
