This year the scholarships will be $1,200 each and will be presented to the winners and their families or guests at the Annual Edgewater Memorial Day Ceremony at Veterans' Field at 11 a.m. on May  26.

 To qualify for consideration, the winning candidates must be residents of the Borough of Edgewater and submit an essay on the following topic: "What Will I Be Looking For In The Next President Of The United States?"

All submissions must be received in the American Legion Post 116 by May 18. These will be kept confidential until all of the essays have received a blind review by each member of the Scholarship Committee.
